How it works
Open the sales invoice template that fits your use and the editor loads straight away.

Switch between A4, A5, Letter and Legal to match your printer or what the recipient expects.
Save a PDF to email or share, or print directly from the browser.
Everything stays in your browser
The template is edited and turned into a PDF on your own device. Nothing you type, and no logo you add, is uploaded to a server. There is no sign-up.
Before you send it
If you sell to a GST-registered buyer, type their GSTIN carefully. The template prints what you enter, so a wrong digit on the invoice will also be wrong on the e-way bill and in the buyer’s records.
Guide
A sales invoice is the seller’s record of a completed sale: what was supplied, to whom, at what price and with what tax. It is the document the buyer pays against and the one most other documents refer back to.
“Sales invoice” is the everyday business name. Under GST, a registered person making a taxable supply issues a tax invoice, which is a sales invoice that carries the particulars the GST rules ask for. So for most GST-registered sellers the sales invoice and the tax invoice are the same piece of paper.
Sellers who are not registered, or who supply only exempt goods, or who are under the composition scheme, generally issue a bill of supply instead and do not charge GST on it. Check which applies to you before choosing a format.
A quotation is an offer of prices and terms made before the sale; it creates no GST liability. A delivery challan moves goods when there is no sale yet, such as job work or goods sent on approval. An e-way bill is not an invoice at all: it is an electronic record of the movement of goods, generated on the official portal with details taken from the invoice or challan.

| Document | Issued by | What it is for | How it differs |
|---|---|---|---|
| Quotation | Seller | Offers prices and terms before the buyer agrees | No sale has happened; not used to move goods or claim credit |
| Sales / tax invoice | Seller | Records the completed sale and the tax charged | — |
| Bill of supply | Seller not charging GST | Records exempt or composition-scheme sales | No GST is charged on it |
| Delivery challan | Consignor | Moves goods where there is no sale yet | Not a demand for payment |
| E-way bill | Generated on the official portal | Records the movement of goods | Built from invoice or challan details; it does not replace them |
If you are GST-registered and charge GST, start with the GST tax invoice. For a short bill to walk-in or small customers, use the simple sales invoice. Use the service invoice when you bill for work or time rather than goods, and the wholesale invoice when you ship bulk quantities with transport details.

No template can guarantee that. The layouts include the fields businesses commonly need, but you are responsible for the details, tax rates and any e-invoicing requirement that applies to you. Check the current rules on the GST portal or with your tax adviser.
